ADDENDUM # 2

BID ID: 03-07-2025-001

BID NAME: Sanitary Lift Station(s) Generator Install

ITEM: Furnishing & Installing (2) on-site generators for two sanitary lift stations

DUE DATE: (UPDATED) Friday, March 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM

This addendum addresses additional questions and requests for more information stemming from the Addendum #1 materials and Q&A. Please note the change in bid due date again, as we are bumping the date 2 more weeks to March 28, 2025. The following questions, clarifications, and information shall be made aware to all potential bidders:

1. Question regarding placement of generators and if we had an approximate or picked out location – Short answer is no, we do not have a location picked out for the generators. We are willing to work with the contractor to place the unit(s) to wherever necessary within our limits (easements and property lines) to accommodate proper installation.

2. Question regarding limits for generator placement outside property or easement –

a. Grey Rd – Attached is a picture of parcel and also a highlighted picture of the site plan with the permanent easement. We do NOT own this parcel and only have a controlling easement around the pump station. If the generator needs to be placed outside this easement we would have to negotiate a change of easement with property owner.

b. Lake Angelus – Attached is a picture of the parcel. We own this property and also control the easement to the W of the property and the N of the property. If generator placement was negotiated to the S of the parcel we would have to get approval from Oakland County, since they own Lake Angelus Rd.

3. A few questions regarding the sizing of the generators that was provided in the RFP- The sizing of the generators that has been requested has been questioned by several contractors, in which they have given approximations of what they think the sizing should be. These numbers vary from 3 different sources, so I am having an electrical engineer look this again to try and nail down the appropriate sizing. We are also considering a few other options to confirm the sizing, but it is currently NOT confirmed yet, so it will be provided in Addendum #3 when ready.

4. Question regarding the responsibility of getting the gas line tapped and installed to the location of the new generators – Although it is stated in the scope of services section, I will remind all that the contractor is responsible for working with Consumers Energy to get the new gas line installed and run to the location that is needed. It will then need to be tied in and hooked up by the contractor as well.
