About this file

This document is a performance requirements summary for a federal contract to provide reading improvement services. The contractor will be required to conduct eight-hour speed reading classes that demonstrate adult education practices and methods. Classes must be shown to double students' reading speeds based on pre-and post-testing. The contractor must also develop and administer end of class surveys, report students who do not meet minimum standards, provide follow-on resources for students to continue improving reading skills after class, and arrive one hour before each class to set up materials and return the classroom to its original condition afterwards. The performance requirements summary identifies the relevant tasks, performance thresholds, surveillance methods, and objectives. The related federal contract opportunity is from the Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Eustis to provide reading improvement services at Fort Leavenworth.
