About this file

This document is an Addendum to the Invitation for Bid (IFB) 23-015 for the SWVMHI Harmon and Laundry Buildings Roof Replacements project in Marion, Virginia. The project involves replacing approximately 4,900 SF of membrane roofing and 7,000 SF of slate tiles on the Harmon Building, as well as 7,000 SF of existing ballast and EPDM membrane roofing on the Laundry Building. The existing roof deck on both buildings shall remain, and the Contractor shall inspect, patch, and repair the existing roof deck prior to installing new roof materials. The buildings must remain operational during construction.

The Addendum provides additional specifications for the construction panels to be used, including requirements for formaldehyde emission rates, compliance with industry standards, and certain performance ratings for the roof sheathing. It also revises the specification for the slate shingles, replacing the previously specified slate provider with James River Slate. The Addendum is to be acknowledged by prospective bidders and attached to the front cover of the Project Manual.
