About this file
This is an Addendum Three document issued by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, Facilities Development and Operations Department, Capital Improvement Division, for Project Number 2022-007283 regarding the North County Government Center Card-Access Repair & Replace initiative. The addendum, issued on January 10, 2023, modifies the original bid documents and constitutes a binding part of the contract. The document revises the Scope of Work by deleting items "a" through "z" in their entirety and replacing them with amended language. Additionally, Exhibit "1" has been deleted in its entirety and replaced with a revised version. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their Bid Proposal Form, with failure to do so potentially resulting in disqualification.
The addendum addresses five key questions and responses clarified during the bidding process. Mortise electric strikes are acceptable for use where doors currently have Wi-Fi locks; after-hours work is permitted to minimize downtime; and the Palm Beach Sheriff's Office can function with keys for one to two days during the system cutover from Pro-watch card access to Lenel systems. Re-keying has been removed from the Scope of Work. Vendors are responsible for addressing any holes left in doors resulting from the removal of Wi-Fi locks and are required to install Sargent Cover Plates to cover these openings. Bidders must sign and attach Addendum Three and any previously issued addenda to their bid forms, making them integral to the contract documents.
