The estimated yearly contract value is approximately $45,000, though the actual value will depend on quantities ordered by the Central Warehouse. Vendors will absorb all testing costs ($140.00 per hour with a minimum one-hour charge per battery size/type), with 50 percent of the testing fee required upon sample submission. The State is exempt from federal excise taxes and state sales taxes, and vendors must accept the State of Maine Procurement Card as payment with no surcharges permitted. Delivery must occur within 14 days of order receipt on 40 x 48 non-exchangeable pallets, with 24-hour advance scheduling required. Products must comply with M.R.S.A. 38 § 2165 and the Governor's Executive Order #12, promoting environmentally preferable procurement. The Division of Purchases reserves the right to cancel the contract with 30 days' written notice or immediately for non-conformance.
