The existing electrical infrastructure serving the deep well north of the creek has experienced equipment failure, including a burnt 400-amp solar panel and breakers that must be replaced to restore safe operation and ensure compliance with current electrical code.
The contractor must complete all work within 60 calendar days of award. Key deliverables include removal and proper disposal of the existing burnt 400-amp solar panel and damaged breakers; furnishing and installation of one new 400-amp panel and breaker package compatible with the existing system; reconnection of feeders and branch circuits; conductor integrity verification; continuity and insulation resistance testing; grounding system verification; coordination of energization with PG&E; and full system functionality testing. The contractor must also provide testing and commissioning documentation, as-built drawings or sketches, warranty information for all installed equipment, electrical schematics or wiring diagrams, and a final report documenting work performed, materials used, and test results. Work is located at 7430 W Sandy Mush Road (HWY 140 Snowbird Lane), Merced, CA 95341, accessible via paved roads. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, except federal holidays, unless approved otherwise by the Contracting Officer's Representative and Refuge Manager.
