About this file
This is a sole source procurement notice from Hillsborough County, Florida regarding maintenance, repairs, and OEM parts supply services for Mack-branded trucks. The procurement is intended for Nextran Corporation d/b/a Nextran Truck Centers - Tampa and covers ongoing and as-needed maintenance, repair, and supply of Original Equipment Manufacturer parts services. All work will be performed by factory-trained personnel utilizing proprietary Mack diagnostic systems to ensure compliance with technical standards and warranty requirements. The contract term is for one year, with the County reserving the right to extend the time period and adjust the scope of services in response to changing conditions and updated requirements.
The estimated contract cost is $250,000.00 for the one-year term. This procurement is being conducted as a sole source award under Section 3-205(2)(e) of the County's Procurement Policy, as Nextran Corporation is identified as the only authorized vendor in Florida with exclusive access to proprietary Mack parts, certified maintenance, and warranty-compliant repair services. Contractors interested in challenging this sole source designation must submit clear and convincing information supporting their capability to provide all identified proprietary parts, goods, and services by the specified close date through the EUNA Procurement submission section. The County will review any timely submitted challenges to determine whether bona fide competition exists and whether to convert this to a competitive solicitation. Absent any valid challenges, an award will likely be made after the close date.
