About this file

This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document related to a park restroom improvements project issued by Sigurd Town, Utah, in partnership with Jones & DeMille Engineering. The project involves construction improvements to park restrooms with flexible start dates at the contractor's discretion. The substantial completion deadline is May 1, 2027, with final completion required no later than May 15, 2027. Questions regarding the project were due in writing by October 16, 2026, at 12:00 pm, and bids were to be submitted electronically by October 20, 2026, at 11:00 am local time. The bidding documents are available from Sigurd Town at 595 N State Street, Sigurd, UT 84657, with inquiries directed to mayor@sigurdtown.gov. No pre-bid conference was scheduled for this project.

The Q&A clarifies that electrical work will be handled as a budget item with lighting choices made collaboratively during construction rather than being specified in advance plans. Similarly, plumbing and mechanical work will follow contractor suggestions within a budget framework, with specifications ensuring adequate freeze protection for the location and summer ventilation. The document indicates that complete MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) drawings were not provided in the initial bidding package, requiring contractors to develop detailed plans based on performance requirements and budget parameters rather than fixed specifications.
