About this file

This is a Protected Information Request Form associated with the City of West Jordan's Real Estate Brokerage & Acquisition Negotiation Services solicitation in Utah. The City seeks proposals from qualified and licensed real estate brokerage firms and/or agents to provide professional real estate acquisition, negotiation, and transaction advisory services on behalf of the municipality. The selected consultant will represent the City in residential and commercial real estate transactions while maintaining confidentiality regarding the City's identity and intended use. The City anticipates approximately four to six transactions annually, which may include simple acquisitions, easements, property exchanges, strategic acquisitions, or other real estate-related negotiations.

The form itself serves as a mechanism for vendors to identify and request business confidentiality protection for specific information contained in their proposals in compliance with the Government Records Access and Management Act (GRAMA), codified as Utah Code Ann., Subsection 63G-2-101, et seq. Vendors must clearly identify and describe any specific information claimed as protected, and the City reserves the right to classify any proposal that does not comply with GRAMA as public record without further discussion. The City may decline to designate information as protected if vendors use blanket claims of business confidentiality or fail to adequately specify confidentiality claims in sufficient detail.
