III. MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT

MOBILIZATION & DEMOBILIZATION

Payment for mobilization and demobilization for septic system installation shall be made at the contract lump sum price. Compensation for mobilization and demobilization shall include payment for equipment, material, and personnel to and from the job site location (regardless of trips required), required construction permits, and all other necessary items to complete the work.

4” PVC ATSM 3034 SOLID SEWER PIPE

Payment for solid sewer pipe shall be made at the contract unit price for the sizes of pipe listed based on the number of linear feet installed. Compensation shall include payment for excavation, backfilling and compaction; all pipe and fittings; connection of the solid sewer pipe to an existing sewer service line or building (house) drain; 4” PVC ATSM 3034 (approx. 20 ft); testing; and all other necessary items for a complete and operational installation.

4” PVC UNDERGROUND SEWER CLEANOUT

Payment for the underground cleanout shall be made at the contract unit price for the sizes listed based on the number of underground cleanouts installed. Compensation shall include payment for excavation, backfilling and compaction, all pipe and fittings, and all other necessary items for a complete and operational installation. Each payment shall be made based on the number of cleanouts installed.

1200 GAL 2 COMPARTMENT SEPTIC TANK WITH EFFLUENT FILTER

Payment for 1200 gal 2-compartment septic tank shall be made at the contract unit price for the size of tank listed based on the number of tanks installed. Compensation shall include payment for excavation, backfilling and compaction; connection to solid sewer pipe, septic tank, 1/16” effluent filter, 24-inch watertight ribbed PVC risers (Orenco or equal) with lids grouted on per design, baffles, inspection ports as required, connection to pump tank, and all other necessary items for a complete and operational installation per design.

1200 GAL PUMP CHAMBER WITH EFFLUENT PUMP AND CONTROLS

Payment for pump chambers shall be made at the contract unit sum price for the size pump chamber listed based on the number of tanks installed. Compensation shall include payment for excavation, backfilling and compaction; individual lift station basin, effluent pump (Hydromatic SP-40 or equivalent), lift station valves and fittings, electrical controls and high-water alarm, mercury level control switches, waterproof electrical junction box, check valve, electrical and control cable from the pump chamber to the home electrical subpanel, and all other necessary items for a complete and operational installation per design.

2” CL 200 PVC FORCEMAIN & MANIFOLD

Payment for the effluent transport line from the pump chamber to the drainfield shall be made at the contract unit price for the sizes of pipe listed based on the number of linear feet installed. Compensation shall include payment for excavation, backfilling, 2” CL 200 PVC force main line of approximately 50 lineal feet including all pipe and fittings, manifold pipe of approximately 8 lineal feet, restoring all trenched areas to equal or better condition than existing, and other necessary items for a complete and operational installation per design.

GRAVEL BED DRAINFIELD WITH WASHED DRAINROCK

Payment for gravel bed drainfield with laterals and washed drain rock shall be made at the contract unit price for the square feet of drainfield area installed. Compensation shall include payment for washed drain rock, backfilling with native loam soil, topsoil, filter fabric, perforated distribution laterals at 1.25” CL 200 PVC, ball valves for each lateral, orifices per design, observation ports/cleanouts, end caps, inspection risers, excavation, backfilling, final grading, restoring trenched surface to equal or better condition than existing, and all other necessary items needed for a complete and operational installation per design.

PUMP AND ABANDON EXISTING SEPTIC TANK

Payment for pumping and abandoning existing septic tank shall be made at the contract lump sum price. Compensation shall include payment for excavation, locating and pumping the tank (tank location indicated on design), disposal of the liquid and solids, breaking open the tank, filling the tank with approved borrow material, backfilling and compaction, restoring the ground surface to equal or better condition than existing, and all other necessary items for a complete abandonment.
