About this file
This document is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act, issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division. It establishes prevailing wage rates for service contracts performed in Virginia (Chesapeake, Gloucester, Hampton, Isle of Wight, James City, Matthews, Newport News, Poquoson, Williamsburg, York counties) and North Carolina (Currituck and Gates counties), effective as of the date of last revision August 22, 2026 (Wage Determination No. 2015-4341, Revision No. 36).
The wage determination provides hourly rates for 247 occupational classifications spanning administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, general services, health occupations, information and arts, information technology, instructional occupations, laundry services, machine tool operation, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant and system operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, and technical occupations. Rates range from $13.66 per hour for chore aides to $51.54 per hour for Registered Nurse IV. The determination includes fringe benefits mandates of $5.92 per hour for health and welfare (up to 40 hours weekly, $236.80 weekly or $1,026.13 monthly) and specifies vacation eligibility, holiday compensation, and hazardous pay differentials of 4 to 8 percent. Special provisions address computer employee exemptions, air traffic controller night pay premiums, uniform allowances, and procedures for requesting authorization of additional unlisted occupational classifications through conformance processes requiring Department of Labor approval.
