About this file
This is a Salient Characteristics document for Mobility Workstations to be delivered to the 55th Rescue Generation Squadron. The contractor must provide, deliver, and assemble a complete high-density storage system with mechanical assist capabilities, procuring all materials and managing on-site installation and packaging disposal. The solution must fit within a 27' x 23' 2" primary area located under a structural mezzanine, accommodating two 220-inch workstation assemblies between 18' 6" pole spans while maintaining clearances for a 36" x 12' mobile cart and unobstructed access to a 10' x 10' offset storage area under a stairwell. Two distinct work areas within each workstation assembly must have individual overhead lighting, open under-counter space for operator seating, and readily accessible drawers adjacent to seating.
The required equipment includes three tall toolboxes, three main workstation cabinets (120" width), one offset area storage cabinet, one mobile cart (36" x 12'), and two complete workstation assemblies (220" width). All structural pieces except tabletops must be metal with no plastic housing acceptable; wood tabletops must be clear coated, and all metal surfaces must be painted green to prevent corrosion, with deviations limited to drawer handles in black or silver. The mobile cart must have a solid wood top surface and a minimum load capacity of 1,200 lbs. An associated Performance Work Statement (PWS) provides additional documentation for services required with this equipment.

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
FOR:
Product and/or Service: Mobility Workstations.
1.0. PRODUCT PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION:
All proposed Equipment and/or Services shall meet or exceed the following minimum specifications outlined in these Salient Characteristics.
All Equipment and/or Services shall be delivered or provided for the following Squadron/Unit: 55th Rescue Generation Squadron
• Scope: The contractor shall provide, deliver, and ensure the compatibility of all items specified in this Salient Characteristics Sheet to create a single, level, functional work center solution.
Contractors will procure all materials, deliver, and provide a team to assemble workstations on site. All packaging and shipping containers can be disposed of on site.
SPECIFICATIONS
Mechanical Assist High Density Storage System Dimensions: All components must be configured to fit within a specifically defined government facility space. The contractor is responsible for verifying all measurements to ensure a successful installation. The layout is defined by the following constraints:
Primary Area: A 27' x 23' 2" space located under a structural mezzanine.
Mezzanine Poles: This area contains 10" x 10" support poles. The distance between poles is 18' 6" on the sides intended for the workstation placement and 20' 6" on the sides intended for access. The two 220" Workstation Assemblies (from 2.1) must fit between the 18' 6" pole spans.
Access & Egress: One of the 20' 6" ends serves as the primary exit to the main work floor. The opposite side provides access to the offset tool storage area.
Offset Storage Area: An adjacent 10' x 10' space, located under a stairwell, is designated for additional tool storage.
Clearances: The final layout must maintain two clear walkways near the offset storage area and an unobstructed main entrance, ensuring the 36" x 12' mobile cart can pass through freely.
Materials: Workstation Assemblies: Each workstation assembly must contain two distinct work areas, with each area individually illuminated by an overhead light installation. The design must provide open under-counter space to accommodate operator seating, balanced with readily accessible drawers integrated under the tabletop adjacent to the seating areas.
Date:
Mobile Cart: The cart must have a solid wood top surface to ensure durability and prevent damage to sensitive equipment.
ALL Assemblies: All structural pieces must be metal other than tabletops, no plastic housing acceptable.
Features: Description Quantity Tall Toolbox 3 Main Workstation Cabinet (120" W)
Offset Area Storage Cabinet 1 Mobile Cart (36" x 12') 1 Complete Workstation Assembly (220" W)
Capacities: • Mobile cart: Minimum load capacity of 1200 lbs.
Finish: Wood Tabletops on the Carts and Workstations must be clear coated.
All metal surfaces, such as outer structure of cabinets and drawers, all support structures, etc. Deviations for things like drawer handles are accepted but should be black or silver in a uniform fashion. should be painted green to prevent corrosion.
Ideally the closest to the color see in the Green Feet Below.
Note: Any accessories that are stand-alone or added to current equipment may require a separate Salient Characteristics form
