About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) detailing a statewide requirements contract to supply herbicides and related products for right-of-way, industrial sites, and non-crop land management. The contract is structured as a 5-year agreement with UDOT procuring various herbicide types through an Invitation for Bid process (Solicitation #UDOT270012CN). The scope encompasses delivery of herbicides and adjuvants to multiple locations across the State of Utah, with contractors required to deliver all ordered products within 15 days after receipt of order. The herbicide categories include selective weed control products (such as 2,4-D Amine, Picloram, Escort, Milestone, and Vista), non-selective weed control products (Glyphosate and Arsenal), bareground herbicides (Krovar, Esplanade, and Sahara), preemergent herbicides (Aqua Cap and Snapshot), aquatic-labeled herbicides, and adjuvants such as surfactants, dyes, and tank cleaners. All products must be labeled for non-crop land and roadside use and comply with worker protection standards.

Pricing for listed products is guaranteed for one year from contract award, with FOB Destination delivery included in all quoted prices. Contractors may also offer catalog discounts on herbicide products beyond those listed in the itemized price list, provided items fall within the scope of work. Price amendments may be requested after the one-year guarantee period expires if supported by market analysis or documented price increases, subject to State approval. Any price reductions must be offered immediately to the State, and the contract reserves the right to benchmark pricing against other available sources to ensure competitive rates. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the submitted price sheet in Attachment D. Contract termination may result from failure to comply with delivery timelines or scope requirements.
