About this file
This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) issued by the Jordan School District in Utah, revised as of September 10, 2024, in accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97). The document serves as a certification requirement for all vendors contracting with Jordan School District to provide goods, services, supplies, information technology, or construction services. Vendors must certify that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined in the applicable Utah Code section, and must agree to refrain from engaging in such boycotts throughout the duration of any awarded contract.
The statement specifies prohibited boycott activities, including those targeting the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture, firearms manufacturers and distributors, companies not meeting environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws, and companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. Vendors must sign and date the certification statement, providing their company name, printed name, and the solicitation name and number. If a vendor determines it is engaged in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity in writing. This attachment is a mandatory component of the RFP for Utility Management Software Solution issued by Jordan School District.

ATTACHMENT B
Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement
In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.
We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
