About this file

This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) required by the Jordan School District in accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97). The document serves as a certification form that vendors must complete and sign when contracting with the Jordan School District to provide goods or services, including supplies, information technology, or construction services. Vendors are required to certify that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or a "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined in the applicable Utah Code section, and they must agree to refrain from engaging in either type of boycott throughout the entire contract period if awarded.

The statement specifically prohibits vendors from boycotting the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture activities, companies involved in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms, companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws, or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries, unless such actions are undertaken for ordinary business purposes. Vendors who discover they are engaged in a prohibited boycott must immediately notify the Jordan School District in writing. The form requires vendors to provide their company name, printed name, signature, date, and the solicitation name and number as documentation of their compliance with the boycott restriction requirements.

ATTACHMENT B

Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement

In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.

We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
