About this file
This file is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement (Attachment B) required by the Jordan School District in Utah for vendors seeking to contract with the district to provide goods or services, including supplies, information technology, or construction services. The statement, revised September 10, 2024, implements compliance requirements under Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) and applies to the Jordan School District's Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a Freezer Expansion at Copper Hills High School. Vendors must certify that they are not currently engaged in an "economic boycott" or a "boycott of the State of Israel" as defined in the statute and must agree to refrain from such boycotts throughout the entire contract period if awarded.
The statement specifies prohibited boycotts that include, among others, boycotts of the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture activities, firearm manufacturers and distributors, companies not meeting environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws, and companies not facilitating access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries, unless such actions constitute ordinary business purposes. Vendors must acknowledge their compliance by signing and dating the certification statement, which includes fields for solicitation name and number, company name, printed name, and date. Any vendor found to be engaging in a prohibited boycott must immediately notify the public entity in writing.

Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement Attachment B
(Revised 09/10/2024)
ATTACHMENT B
Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement
In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms; companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws; or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.
We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
