About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for the State of Utah Division of Wildlife Resources' request for quotes to procure a 2025 or 2026 bumper-pull camp trailer. The trailer must be 30-33 feet in length, accommodate 7-9 people with a quad bunk layout and double-bunkhouse feature, and include at least one tip-out, preferably in the kitchen/dining area. The purchase aims to replace an aging 2002 Jayco FEMA trailer that has exceeded its useful lifespan. The trailer must be available for delivery or local pickup in Utah by June 15, 2026. The procurement is an objective, lowest-cost evaluation conducted under the Utah Procurement Code, and vendors may submit alternative specifications if the proposed trailer meets minimum requirements of sleeping 7-9 people, featuring a double-bunkhouse, and including at least one tip-out. Multiple or alternate bids from a single vendor will not be accepted; only the primary bid will be considered.

The project budget is $39,000, which represents the maximum allowable cost for the trailer. The Utah Division of Purchasing and Division of Wildlife Resources prefer vendors located in Utah or within an eight-hour drive of Vernal, Utah, though out-of-state bids will be considered. The specifications include a quad-axle layout with 225/75R15LRE tires or similar, fresh and grey water tanks, a furnace, standard kitchen appliances, an AC unit, power awning, rooftop solar panels with control box and Perko switch, LED exterior lights, two 20-pound external propane tanks, and a tankless on-demand water heater. The camper must feature heavy-duty axles and tires suitable for mountain and rugged terrain towing. All camper brands are eligible for consideration, and the agency requests the opportunity to pick up the camper locally and review all components with the salesman.
