About this file
This document is a Technical Environment specification from the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Procurement division, outlining detailed technical requirements for computing hardware, software, and communications infrastructure. The document provides specific guidelines for workstations, desktops, notebooks, printers, and software compatibility, with recommended specifications from top-tier manufacturers like Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and others.
The technical environment specification focuses on computing hardware requirements, including minimum and recommended processor types (Intel i5/i7), memory (8 GB or more), storage (256 GB or more), and display specifications. It also details software requirements, emphasizing browser compatibility (Chrome, Edge, Firefox), operating system preferences (Windows 10 Pro), and network communications standards. The document highlights the use of Azure VPN gateway for point-to-point connections, HTTPS and web services over TCP/IP, and specifies antivirus protection through Microsoft Azure Security Center. Notably, the document includes a requirement for a detailed description of facial recognition software operating and connectivity standards to ensure compatibility with existing systems.
