About this file
This is a Request for Statement of Qualifications (RSQ) Questions and Answers document for the American Academy of Innovation APEX Center Architectural Services project located in Utah. The RSQ seeks architectural services with a primary focus on building design, with landscaping services considered minor and largely consistent with existing campus conditions. Prospective respondents may submit proposals addressing the complete scope or individual components, though submissions will be evaluated on completeness and partial responses may be at a disadvantage. The final question submission deadline was September 14, 2026 at 4:00 PM MST, with response packets due electronically to projects@aaiutah.org by September 17, 2026 at 4:00 PM. Single file uploads are limited to 1GB.
No specific construction timeline, construction start date, or project budget has been established at this time, though costs are expected to align with comparable projects of similar scope and size. Building sustainability features are encouraged but must be supported by cost-benefit analysis justification. The issuing office for all bidding documents is the American Academy of Innovation, and contract award information will not be posted publicly; vendors must contact the designated office directly for award notifications. Responsibility for reviewing the complete solicitation documents rests with the vendor to ensure compliance with all requirements.

American Academy of Innovation Request for Statement of Qualifications Questions and Answers
The following is a complete list of questions and answers as of the final question submission deadline of 4:00 pm on 14 September 2026.
Q: Would you recommend proposing on this RSQ offering solely landscape architecture services?
A: The focus for this RSQ is primarily the building, with any landscaping to be relatively minor and likely in keeping with what currently exists on campus.
Q: May one submit a response that focuses on just the master planning aspect cited in the RSQ?
A: One may submit responsive to only a part of the RSQ scope, but submissions will be evaluated on completeness, and a partially responsive submission will likely fall short.
Q: When is this project expected to go to bid for contractors and what is the expected start date for construction?
A: There is no specific construction timeline at this time.
Q: Is there a specific budget for the construction project?
A: There is not a specific budget set at this time, but the expectation is that costs will be consistent with the costs of other projects of a similar scope and size.
Q: What are the considerations for building sustainability?
A: Building sustainability is always important but any proposed features will have to be supported by a cost-benefit analysis.
