The scope includes 43 separate locations across the City's portfolio, encompassing libraries, parking garages, fire stations, museums, parks facilities, and airport buildings, with varying system types including wet, dry, standpipe, pre-action, and clean agent data room systems. Bidders must visit all job sites prior to submission to verify equipment and requirements. The contract term is one year with two one-year renewal options available by mutual agreement.

Bidders must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and fees associated with inspections, testing, and certification without additional cost to the City. All work must be completed within 120 days of purchase order receipt, with liquidated damages of $100 per day assessed for delays. Contractors are required to furnish detailed inspection reports identifying deficiencies and repair quotes for City determination. Award will be based on the lowest and best total net base bid with selected options, which include cost per day for lift equipment, hourly labor rates for service calls during normal business hours, after-hours, weekends and holidays, and percentage markup on materials for repairs. Contractors must provide comprehensive general liability insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, automobile liability coverage, workers' compensation, and employers' liability insurance. The City of Wichita is self-insured and requires the contractor to be added as primary and non-contributory additional insured. All contract work and responsibilities are the sole obligation of the contractor, with no additional cost to the City.
