About this file

This is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy Statement exhibit applicable to state contracts in New York, specifically for the Erie County Medical Center Corporation's procurement of CPAP and BiPAP equipment and accessories. The document establishes mandatory non-discrimination requirements that awardees and contractors must adopt and implement throughout contract performance. The policy applies to all employment decisions and practices related to the state contract work.

The EEO policy mandates that contractors and subcontractors cannot discriminate based on race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, predisposing genetic characteristic, domestic violence victim status, prior criminal conviction, or prior arrest. Contractors must undertake active affirmative action programs to ensure equal employment opportunities for minority group members and women, include non-discrimination language in all employment solicitations, and require employment agencies and labor unions to comply with these provisions. All subcontracts must incorporate these requirements verbatim, making compliance binding on all tiers of contractors. The policy requires contractors to comply with the New York Human Rights Law and all applicable state and federal statutory and constitutional non-discrimination provisions.
