About this file
This is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy Statement exhibit required by Erie County Medical Center Corporation (ECMCC), a New York state entity, for a gift card program procurement solicitation. The document establishes mandatory non-discrimination and affirmative action requirements that all awardees and contractors must adopt and implement throughout contract performance. The policy requires contractors to commit to equal employment opportunities for all employees and applicants regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, or marital status, and mandates that organizations undertake active affirmative action programs to ensure minority group members and women receive equitable employment opportunities on state contracts. All solicitations and employment advertisements must include statements of non-discrimination, and contractors must ensure that employment agencies, labor unions, and authorized representatives comply with these provisions.
The policy additionally requires contractor compliance with New York's Human Rights Law and all federal and state statutory and constitutional non-discrimination provisions, extending protections to include sexual orientation, military status, predisposing genetic characteristics, domestic violence victim status, prior criminal conviction, and prior arrest considerations. Contractors must incorporate these EEO provisions into all subcontracts, ensuring binding obligations cascade throughout the supply chain. The document requires authorized representatives to sign and date the agreement, acknowledging their commitment to implement these equal employment opportunity requirements as a condition of contract award for the gift card program procurement.
