About this file

This is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy Statement document required for a state contract with Erie County Medical Center Corporation (ECMCC) in New York. The document establishes mandatory non-discrimination and affirmative action requirements that the awardee contractor must adopt and implement throughout the project scope. The contractor must commit to equal employment opportunities for all employees and applicants regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, predisposing genetic characteristic, or domestic violence victim status. Additionally, the contractor must ensure compliance with New York's Human Rights Law and all applicable state and federal non-discrimination provisions, including requirements related to prior criminal conviction and prior arrest considerations. The contractor is required to include these non-discrimination provisions in all solicitations and advertisements for employment and must request that employment agencies, labor unions, and authorized representatives also commit to non-discriminatory practices in support of the contractor's obligations.

The contractor must ensure that all subcontractors are bound by the same non-discrimination and affirmative action requirements outlined in the policy statement. The document requires the contractor to make documented, conscientious, and active efforts to employ and utilize minority group members and women in its workforce on state contracts. The agreement must be signed and dated by an authorized representative of the contracting organization, with spaces provided for the specific project location, the date of agreement execution, and the signatory's printed name and title. This policy statement serves as a binding requirement for participation in ECMCC's graphic design, visual content, printing, fabrication, and installation services contract.
