About this file

This document is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Policy Statement that outlines non-discrimination and affirmative action requirements for contractors working on state contracts. The policy mandates that organizations will not discriminate against employees or job applicants based on race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, predisposing genetic characteristics, or domestic violence victim status.

The policy requires contractors to actively work to provide equal employment opportunities, including stating non-discrimination commitments in job advertisements, cooperating with employment agencies and labor unions to prevent discrimination, and complying with Human Rights Law and other state and federal non-discrimination provisions. Contractors must also include these non-discrimination requirements in all subcontracts, ensuring that these obligations are binding on all subcontractors working on state contracts.
