About this file

The document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) #1PA4A02098 issued by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) for a Standby Generator for the Susanville LMU Headquarters in Lassen County. The RFQ seeks a 150KW Natural Gas Standby Generator with specific technical requirements, including 120V/208V, 3-phase, 4-wire configuration, UL2200 listed package genset, NFPA 110 approval, and a sound-attenuated white enclosure. The solicitation is open to all vendors, with bids due by September 8, 2025, and requires submission of multiple documents including a cost quote sheet, certification forms, and other standard state procurement paperwork.

The RFQ will be awarded on an "All or None" basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with pricing to remain valid for 60 days. CAL FIRE is not pursuing a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) set-aside to ensure maximum competition. The generator must be permittable in the Great Basin Air Pollution Control District and includes a 5-year standby warranty. The total procurement includes the generator set, an automatic transfer switch, and delivery to the Susanville location. In the event of a tie between bidders, a coin toss will be used as a tiebreaker, to be conducted by the Procurement Official and witnessed by a state employee.
