About this file
This is a Request for Quote (RFQ) for preventive maintenance services for the Kitchen Hood Fire Suppression System at the U.S. Embassy in Mbabane, Eswatini. The contract is for a base period of 12 months with four potential one-year option periods, using a firm fixed-price type contract. The specific service involves semi-annual maintenance of an Ansul R-102 Fire Suppression system located in the embassy's cafeteria, with two required service visits per year. The solicitation requires contractors to perform comprehensive system inspections, including tasks such as removing and testing cylinders, checking equipment, replacing fusible links, verifying system functionality, and providing detailed documentation.
The contract has specific requirements for contractor qualifications, including possessing manufacturer instructions, having appropriate tools and safety equipment, and demonstrating at least two years of experience with wet-chemical fire suppression system maintenance. The solicitation is unrestricted and open to all responsible offerors, with an offer due date of August 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM local time. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and will be evaluated based on technical capability and past performance, with non-price factors considered significantly more important than price. The contract includes provisions for potential repair and emergency service options, which would be billed separately from the base maintenance agreement.
