RFQ 19PK4024Q5024 PR12509352 Medium Voltage Diesel Generator D3512 Canopy Repair - SITE VISIT NOTES – 16th May 2024

Dismantle and removal of existing Canopy structure: Work plan including proposed methodology report to be Submitted by the offerors (dismantling of entire structure will not be needed as per examination of the Project site.).

Key discussed points regarding classification of jobs comprise as follows.

1. Hot air exhaust chamber Fabrication:

Upper Duct Area:

• Existing chamber needs to be replaced with a new prefabricated structure.

• Exhaust Pipe replacement required (Muffler replacement not required)

• Repair of enclosed drain channels to prevent rain/water clogging and preventing corrosion of overall chamber (In/Out)

Lower Duct Area (Hot air duct bottom):

• The lower duct area/Floor side of the exhaust chamber will not require replacement.

• Outer side: Corrosion treatment required.

• Inner side: Additional profiling along with corrosion treatment and industrial grade epoxy application required.

2. Sound attenuators Fabrication (Mufflers):

• Replacement not required (Fitment in new exhaust chamber and Operational inspection as per existing standards to be ensured)

3. Canopy Duct Fabrication:

• Existing Air intake Canopy duct needs to be replaced with a new prefabricated structure.

4. Aluminum mesh/air filter for generator canopy:

• Supply and install aluminum air filters with 9 layers of aluminum mesh for generator canopy intake air duct, complete with all necessary material such as supporting steel frame, filter sliding rail, etc

5. Roof top Fabrication:

• Replacement of existing structure not required.

• Surface treatment of existing roofing structure followed with “Sandwich layering” of additional sheet in top of the existing one which will be sealed to ensure no corrosion or water leakages. (This option is considered to ensure no shut down of generator operations as replacement of roof will require at least 2-3 days process shutdown due to space and work area limitations)

6. Antivibration Generator Mounts:

• Replacement of all existing mounts required.

• Manual Jack lifting and rigging method (Estd up to 5inch High) will be required due to space/work area limitations for machine operated/Driven equipment.

(ensuring however no damages to the property takes place)

• This work needs to be completed within 5-6 Hours preferably (given the Generator will be on standby - max 20 hrs time due to dismantling and re-mantiling of fuel line/Piping provisions)

7. Provision Of removable Access Door:

• This will be an optional scope of work (Offeror will need to submit best cost-effective methodology with cost for provision of install fabricated access door (for repairing and maintenance of alternator side – Back side area)

• Standard to meet: provision of new door should not affect existing sound proofing standards

• It should be easy to maneuver/access given very limited space provisions from backside

• It should not result in relocation of existing installed electrical panel.

8. Door Hinge and Lock Replacement:

• All locks, hinges, bolts, fasteners e.t.c to meet as per existing quality standards if needs to be replaced. Provision is kept for refurnishing existing fitments for reuse

(existing fittings are of good health mostly and require just refinishing touchups)

9. Denting and Painting services:

• high-quality zinc-based paint that is anti-fungus, anticorrosive, rust-resistant, and quick-drying Properties with 2x coats (Color/Finish to be matched as per existing)

10. Generator Handling and Operational services:

• Temporary Relocation of Main control panel (if Optional removable access door services are performed) and then replacement of same back to its original premises. Generator to remain functional at all times

Other necessary considerations:

1. Provision of Crane: Can be placed within 30-40ft area (On road way) for Operations

2. Roadside Area: Authorizations will be taken care by the Facilities to place the crane on roadside along with addressing safety concerns for oversight of incoming road traffic

3. Materials and chemicals: all provided raw materials should be as per existing built structure standards. Any deviation will require offeror to rearrange the rejected/Substandard materials at his own cost

1. Below to be furnished from all offerors.

• Work Plan/Methodology

• Activity Hazard Analysis Plan

• All required Material Spec sheet, SDS & technical literature

4. Worksite caution: All signages/Labels Marking “CAUTION” will be pasted/placed by the contractor as a precautionary measure after identification of Critical Work Area during initial Site visit

5. Timeline: Desired within 10 working days after Notice to proceed. Ultimately not to exceed 30 working days (Working days includes work conducted at worksite (excluding contractors material fabrication/Factory Order process time)

6. RFQ Section J: is mandatory for offerors bid qualification. Additionally Mandatory proof of active SAM registration (https://sam.gov/content/home) will be required for bid/proposal acceptance.
