About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) from the U.S. Embassy in Nepal for Cisco Switches and Network Equipment. The solicitation seeks quotes for specific Cisco part codes including C9300X-48TX-E, 9300-DNA-E-48-3Y, PWR-C1-715WAC-P/2, and C9300X-NM-4C. Vendors are instructed to submit quotes on an F.O.B. basis for either Kathmandu, Nepal or Kent, Washington, with an option to include VAT at 13% as a separate line item.
Key details include shipping constraints where Cisco requires direct shipment to the end user, potential need for a Global Discount ID, and clarification that the solicitation is for product supply only with standard OEM service and warranty. Potential vendors are advised to register on SAM.gov, and the contract is identified as new with no incumbent. Delivery addresses are provided for the American Embassy's Facility in Kathmandu and Lincoln Moving & Storage in Kent, WA. Vendors are encouraged to confirm part codes, potential additional accessories, and service/warranty requirements before submission.

1. We would like to formally express our interest in participating in the upcoming procurement process for Cisco Switches and Network Equipment as per the U.S.
Embassy’s procurement procedures.
To proceed further, we kindly request you to share the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) along with the detailed technical specifications for the required Cisco switches and network devices. Receiving these documents will enable us to prepare and submit a comprehensive and competitive proposal in accordance with your guidelines.
We highly encourage you to register at SAM.gov to be eligible to take part in various
Contracting Opportunities.
Note that SAM.gov registration is free of charge.
Although not necessarily, we may also publish Contract Opportunity Notices at US
Embassy Nepal website.
(Solicitation document was also shared)
2. We are very interested in submitting a quotation for the RFQ and wanted to discuss a situation we have encountered.
Our suppliers for the Cisco items have informed us that they are unable to provide pricing because Cisco does not allow the equipment to be shipped overseas or to a freight service provider. They have advised that the shipment must be made directly to the end user, in this case, the U.S. Government.
Given this, we would appreciate your guidance on how you would like us to proceed.
Green Tara has offices in the USA and Dubai, and we are also in a position to support shipment to Kathmandu, if permitted.
You may quote for both F.O.B. Kent, WA or US Embassy Nepal (Kathmandu).
