About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for Solicitation 19N06025Q0001 for Residential Make Ready Services at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo, Norway. The document addresses four contractor questions about eligibility, pricing, and property information.

Key clarifications include: companies can bid regardless of their location (though work sites are in Oslo/Akershus area), specific property locations and details will only be provided to the winning bidder, and maintenance mechanic services will be quoted individually rather than through Contract Line-Item Numbers (CLINs) due to the varied nature of the work. The document specifically addresses questions about alternative pricing structures for gardening services and requests for property overview information, both of which were not provided in detail at this stage of the solicitation process.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

RESIDENTIAL MAKE READY SERVICES FOR THE U.S. EMBASSY OSLO, NORWAY

SOLICITATION NUMBER: 19N06025Q0001

Question 1:

The Solicitation states that only firms located in the Oslo/Akershus area are eligible to bid.

Would this exclude companies bidding from outside this area?

Answer:

Reference made to the Oslo/Akershus area, is referring to the residential job sites where the work will be carried out. This has no bearing on the location of your company. The solicitation is open to all interested companies to bid on regardless of company location.

Please see Section C: DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/WORK STATEMENT C.1.5 LOCATION - The jobsites will be located within the Oslo/Akershus Metropolitan Area.

Question 2:

The current pricing schedule for gardening services is by square meter. Would the Embassy consider alternative pricing structures, such as task-based pricing, tiered packages by property size, or a hybrid model, to better reflect the variability in landscaping tasks?

Answer:

A listing of work locations will only be provided to the successful bidder upon contract award. See Section C – C.1.5. LOCATION

Question 3:

Would it be possible to receive an overview of properties requiring landscaping work, including their respective square meterage’s, or access to satellite images with addresses blurred out?

Answer:

A listing of work locations will only be provided to the successful bidder upon contract award. See Section C – C.1.5. LOCATION.

Question 4:

There appears to be no Contract Line-Item Number (CLIN) for pricing maintenance mechanic services.

Answers:

Correct, due to the maintenance work being varied and hard to quantify we did not list a CLIN for this category, the maintenance work will be assessed and quoted on an individual basis but will still be issued under a task.
