Kitchen Renovation Project – US Consul General of Casablanca

This document comprises technical specifications and a statement of work for a kitchen renovation project at the US Consul General residence in Casablanca, with a bid date of February 2, 2026. The project encompasses three primary specification areas: protection of existing conditions, electrical systems, and plumbing systems.

Protection of Existing Conditions: The contractor must provide temporary protection for character-defining architectural features and collections objects outside the immediate construction zone using flame-retardant dust barriers (minimum 6-mil Tyvek or polyethylene sheeting), vibration monitoring devices, acid-free paper, padded blankets, and plywood sheathing. Construction vibrations must be limited to ≤0.14 in/sec (3.6 mm/s PPV) per FTA Transit Noise and Vibration Impact Assessment Manual (2018), or ≤0.08 in/sec (2 mm/s PPV) for extremely fragile features. The contractor must coordinate with OBO Office of Cultural Heritage, document existing conditions with pre-construction photographs, employ experienced personnel, and restore all protected features to pre-construction condition upon completion.

Electrical Systems (Lot I): The contractor must supply and install U1000 RO2V armored copper-core distribution cables in three sizes (3G6 mm², 3G2.5 mm², 3G1.5 mm²) at linear meter pricing. Electrical power supplies for split systems and intercom systems are priced per unit. Lighting fixtures include single-point, two-way switch, and additional lighting points; waterproof power outlets (2P+T 16A, IP55); command panels; and decorative fixtures (suspended luminaires, LED spotlights, ceiling lamps, high-temperature LED strips). Control and communication systems include an intercom kit with LCD screen, IP64 IK08 protection, and PoE/24V power supply. An external air extraction fan with remote motor, weatherproof casing (IPX4 minimum), asynchronous motor (230V–50Hz), and noise attenuation ensuring ≤25 dB(A) is required. All electrical work includes cabling, conduits, connections, testing, commissioning, and on-site personnel training. Pricing is per unit or linear meter as specified.

Plumbing Systems (Lot II): Cold and hot water distribution networks utilize PPR pipes (NIRON brand or equivalent, PN20 rating) mounted on MUPRO-type supports in sizes Ø40x6.7, Ø32x5.4, Ø25x4.2, Ø20x3.4 mm, with shut-off valves in diameters D32, D25, and D20, priced per linear meter and by unit. Sanitary drains employ Class 1 PVC pipes (FERROPLAST or equivalent, minimum 3.2 mm thickness) in sizes Ø33.6/40 mm, Ø43.6/50 mm, and Ø68.6/75 mm, including bends, fittings, adhesive joints, and siphons, priced per linear meter. A double-basin stainless steel sink (ROCA E-series or equivalent) with 1.80m × 0.60m dimensions, GROHE Eurostyle chrome-plated mixer tap with hand shower, chain-stopper siphon, and bitumen soundproofing is priced per unit. A 100L electric water heater (DEDIETRICH brand or equivalent) with GRK safety group, internal corrosion protection via magnesium anode, and electrical connection is provided as a complete unit.
