About this file
This document is Amendment 0001 to Request for Quotations (RFQ) 19JA8025Q0024 for Furniture Replacement Services at the U.S. Consulate General Naha, Japan. The amendment removes the previous requirement for electrical work and communication drops. The solicitation requires comprehensive furniture replacement across multiple rooms (105, 109B, 111, and 112), including nine modular workstations, two additional workstations, and one U-shaped counter surface. Specific furniture requirements include powered height-adjustable desks, side drawers, executive chairs, power extension strips, file cabinets, pamphlet racks, and additional furnishings like a sofa and center table.
The scope of work encompasses designing and furnishing the specified furniture, disassembling and disposing of old furniture in compliance with local industrial waste regulations, providing packing boxes, and performing carpet shampooing. The contractor must resurvey the layout and measurements of existing walls and pillars, and design a furniture plan subject to approval by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) and Consular Chief in Naha. The solicitation emphasizes compliance with local laws, regulations, and safety standards, with the U.S. Government intending to award a purchase order to the responsible company submitting the lowest-priced technically acceptable quotation.
