About this file

This is Amendment No. 1 to Request for Quotation (RFQ) 19GT5026Q0077 issued by the American Embassy Guatemala City for preventive maintenance services of an HVAC water treatment system. The amendment extends the offer due date from August 7, 2026 to September 9, 2026, incorporates clarification for line item No. 13, and includes questions and answers addressing contractor inquiries.

The RFQ solicits comprehensive maintenance services for 18 distinct equipment systems and components over a base year plus four option years, each for 12-month periods. Services span quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inspections and maintenance activities across condensing water systems, chilled water systems, cooling towers, filtration units, tanks, pumps, sensors, and chemical dosing stations. Line item 013 (Chemical Dosing Station) has been clarified to include weekly condensing water analysis for all parameters required. Contractors must submit fixed pricing in either U.S. dollars or Quetzales, with value-added tax (VAT) priced as a separate line item. Annual physicochemical water analysis must be performed by an accredited laboratory that the contractor selects. Contractors must maintain liability insurance and DBA (Doing Business As) insurance with specific coverage amounts referenced in the original solicitation. Emergency response time for service is measured from the moment notification is received by the contractor. Quotations are due September 9, 2026 by 10:00 AM local time and must be submitted to GuatemalaBids@state.gov; submissions by any other means will not be considered.
