About this file

This document is a Brand Guidelines document for the Freedom 250 initiative, not a federal contract opportunity file. It establishes visual and stylistic standards for the Freedom 250 brand, which celebrates the triumph of the American spirit with a design aesthetic centered on patriotic imagery and American historical symbolism.

The guidelines specify three logo variations: a primary logo combining a modified Betsy Ross flag (featuring thirteen stars in a circle representing the original colonies) with the "Freedom 250" wordmark in navy and gold; a secondary logo consisting of the flag element alone; and an icon version with stars arranged in a circle. The document mandates the use of three typefaces—Georgia (bold), DM Sans (bold and regular)—with the tagline "Celebrating the Triumph of the American Spirit" emphasizing key words. The primary color palette consists of Starfield (navy, #1F3464) and Stripe (red, #C02235), with accent colors of Freedom Gold (#D2983D) and Freedom Silver (#B4B4B4), with complete HEX, RGB, and CMYK specifications provided. Black and white versions are permitted only when full-color reproduction is unavailable, with black versions for light backgrounds and white versions for dark backgrounds. The guidelines establish strict requirements for minimum clear space, proportional scaling, co-branding with partner logos (partner logos must not exceed Freedom 250 logo size), and prohibit distortion, color alteration, font modification, or addition of visual effects. Approved logo files are available for download through provided links.

For use on light backgrounds

For use on dark backgrounds

Black &White Logo and Icon Usage Black and white versions of the Freedom 250 logo and icon should be used only when absolutely necessary and when full-color reproduction is not possible.

The full-color logo is always the preferred option and should be used whenever available.

Black versions are intended for use on light backgrounds.

White versions are intended for use on dark backgrounds.

Color, proportions, spacing, and clear space rules must still be followed.

Freedom 250 Secondary Logo The Freedom 250 flag without the “Freedom 250” wordmark is considered a decorative graphic element, not a primary brand identifier.

The flag-only mark should be used in the same manner as the icon.

It may be used to complement the primary logo in design applications.

Appropriate uses include backgrounds, patterns, apparel, merchandise, and supporting visuals.

The flag-only mark must not replace the primary Freedom 250 logo in any official, formal, or brand-representative context.

The full-color Freedom 250 logo is always the preferred and primary representation of the brand.

SECONDARY LOGO

Co-Branding The Freedom 250 logo may be paired with partner logos using an approved lockup.

The partner logo must not be larger than the Freedom 250 logo.

Both logos should be aligned on the same baseline and scaled to feel visually balanced.

Spacing between logos should be consistent and intentional—not too tight or wide.

Neither logo may overpower, overlap, or alter the other.

The example shown demonstrates the correct scale, alignment, and spacing for approved co-branding usage.

g

Minimum Clear Space To ensure clarity, legibility, and visual impact, the Freedom 250 logo must always be surrounded by a defined area of clear space.

Minimum clear space is required on all sides of.

the logo.

This space must remain free of text, imagery, graphics, or page edges.

Clear space helps preserve the logo’s integrity and prevents visual clutter.

The minimum clear space should be measured using a consistent internal element of the logo (as shown in the example). This spacing must be maintained across all applications, regardless of size or medium.

The logo should never appear crowded, cropped, or constrained by surrounding elements.
