About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details art handling services for the U.S. Embassy Paris during an electrical upgrading project at the OECD Chief of Mission Residence. The project requires a Fine Art logistics specialist to handle, transport, store, and protect an extensive collection of high-value Cultural Heritage objects and Residential Design items, including art, furniture, silverware, and textiles. The contractor must provide a comprehensive Protection Plan, photo-documentation, and careful handling of objects, with storage anticipated for 9-12 months in a climate-controlled facility.

Key requirements include attending a pre-construction meeting, submitting a Protection Plan for embassy approval, carefully moving and packing objects, transporting items in a climate-controlled truck, protecting immovable fixtures during construction, and returning objects to their original location after project completion. The SOW mandates the presence of U.S. Embassy Cultural Heritage staff during critical stages, requires an insurance plan to protect all items, and allows for potential site visits during storage. The contractor must provide a detailed, itemized proposal covering all aspects of the scope of work.
