| 22 | Should there be a line item in price schedule for design works? | No |
| 23 | What is the required phased design schedule? | Refer to Section 5 of SOW. |
| 24 | Are hard copies required? For international companies this complicates submission and reduces the time we have for proposal preparation. | No |
| 25 | Attachment-1 Point 2.2.3: “Doors shall be made of metal” |
| Question: Just to confirm, can aluminum serve as a substitute, or is it strictly limited to steel? Please clarify if this applies to both internal and external doors, or only external doors, for both Tasks A and B. | Steel doors are required due to having greater strength than aluminum. See the door and window schedule | |
| 26 | Attachment-1 Point 2.2.4: “Contractor is responsible of any damages made by these activities (previously mentioned; clearing, excavation, carrying out…)” |
| Question: Could you please specify the types of damages we should consider? For instance, damages to surrounding buildings or roads? Additionally, after visiting the site, we observed that the road leading to the construction site is muddy. Should any actions be taken (as a road finish after delivery) regarding the road, such as laying down a compacted layer of gravel or asphalt? Please advise accordingly. | There are no road improvement requirements in this SOW, Nor will the government provide a more specific list of what it considers "damages made by these activiites." Contractors are responsible for any damages incurred by their contractors and subcontractors during the course of performing the construction activities on this contract. | |
| 27 | Attachment-1 Point 2.3: “In the event the Contractor discovers discrepancies contained in the various design/ technical documents, the Contractor must immediately notify the Contracting Officer Representative (COR)” |
| Question: While all data and technical supporting documents will be submitted to prevent discrepancies, it is important to note that certain elements such as materials and technical designs may need to be reviewed and resubmitted during the project's progress. Or the Contractor shall review machines capacity following room volumes & conditions? | 20,000 BTUs is a minimum. Larger units can be used as room size requires. | |
| 35 | In Attachment-3 Concerning the submitted drawings; we are finding inconveniences matching the Floor Plan to the sections In Task-A: |
| Question: In the Sections: East & West Length of the building is approx. 45m; North & South Length of the Building is approx. 48m. However, in the Floor Plan the Building seams more rectangular in proportions compared to the dimensions mentioned previously. In addition to that the Openings layout (Doors & Windows) are not matching. Please advise concerning this matter (Building dimensions) and confirm if the Floor plan shall be fully respected (Partitioning & Opening Layout (Doors & Windows) so we can proceed in our proposal by adjusting the sections (& Elevations) according to the Floor Plan layout. | See Revised Appendix 1 and other answers. | |
