About this file
This document contains government responses to questions about solicitation number 192120FHQIHSCTDON02 for repairs to two medical trailers located at the T. Don Hutto Residential Center in Taylor, Texas. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency seeks to bring one administrative trailer and one dental trailer to full operational functionality with safe, efficient movement and sanitary conditions for healthcare personnel and patients. Specifically, the responses removed the fire suppression system requirement from the statement of work. Additionally, if the existing dental x-ray machine is found to be non-functional and parts are no longer available, vendors may provide a written report and quote to potentially replace the equipment, subject to government approval of associated costs.

Project: IHSC Medical Trailers Repair at T. Don Hutto Contract No.: 192120FHQIHSCTDON02
Question #006 Since the size of the trailers is under 3,600 square feet and is a remodel, code allows smoke detectors and fire extinguishers only.
Can the words, “fire suppression system” be stricken from the RFP?
GOVERNMENT RESPONSE: The Government has removed the “fire suppression system” requirement.
An updated SOW has been provided.
Question #007
During the site visit, we were told that the roof had leaked and water shorted out the X-ray machine. It has also been found that the existing X-ray machine is no longer manufactured and therefore parts are no longer manufactured.
If during inspection/testing it is found the existing X-ray machine is not able to be functional, will the contractor be required to replace with a newer version?
GOVERNMENT RESPONSE: This requirement is added as an optional CLIN as the government expectation is that dental X-Ray machine will be functional. A written report showing that equipment can't be bought to full functional state is required as well as a quote stating the cost of the replacement X- Ray equipment. The government will work with the vendor on cost to potentially replace the X-Ray equipment.
