Questions and Answers
1) Question:
Section J – Exhibit 1 – List of Location of Residential Properties.
How many apartments or accommodations for each residential property?
Answer:
The listed locations are the areas of Rome (Parioli, Cassia, etc.) where the apartments are rented/owned, for about a total number of 220 apartments.
2) Question:
Section H.4.3 Time for Submission of Evidence of Insurance Section L.4.3.3 Volume II Business Management/Technical Proposal – 6) Should we provide the evidence of the insurance certificate during this phase or within ten (10) days after contract award?
Answer:
Evidence of insurance certificate shall be provided during the solicitation phase and within ten (10) days after contract award as stated in Section H.4.3 and Section L.4.3.3
3) Question:
Should the orders be issued with continuity so as to guarantee the daily commitment of at least n.1 team of technicians?
Answer:
See Section B.2 Type of Contract for contract minimum and maximum order amounts.
4) Question:
Section J – Exhibit 3 – Make Ready Checklist:
A) Should any repair/replacement of damaged equipment be included in the quotation price during this phase or will the above activities be quote before submit an offer for each task order that will be requested?
Answer:
No, so repair/replacement of damaged equipment shall be included in the quotation during this phase (solicitation).
For the above activities to be quoted before submitting an offer for each task order that will be requested see Section C.3 Major Repair
B) The spare parts supplies for the repair activities be our responsibility then, should we include a quotation price in this phase? Or will the spare parts be furnished from Government?
Answer:
See Section C.2.2.6 Spare parts and Material
5) Question Is there a minimum quantity in Euro for each quote?
Answer:
No, there is not.
6) Question If there are tasks to be performed outside the SOW of this contract, what should the Contractor do?
Answer:
See Section C.3 Major Repairs
7) Question In case of subcontract personnel, shall their documentation being submitted in the solicitation package?
Answer:
Yes, it shall. See Section L .4.3.3 – 2)
8) Question How far back should the documentation on past performances be included in the solicitation package?
Answer:
Five (5) years. See Section L .4.3.3 – Part II Experience and Past Performance
9) Question What the Contractor should do in case of changing of initial proposed personnel?
Answer:
The requirements requested in Section J – Exhibit 2 – Personnel Qualifications shall still be met; and as per Section L .4.3.3 – 2 subject to review and approval of the Government.
10) Question How many apartments shall the contractor work on each year?
Answer:
Average of 30 apartments per year
11) Question Which is the completion date of a task order?
Answer:
See Section B.4.4 Completion Date
12) Question How can checking tasks and repairs be distinguished?
Answer:
See detailed description of duties in Section C Description/Specifications/Work statement
13) Question Will the material not supplied by the Embassy be reimbursed?
Answer:
See Section C.2.2.6 Spare parts and Material
14) Question Which are the procedures for submitting a quote?
Answer:
See Section C.2 Property Survey
15) Question (during the conference) Are any specifications/quality of the material to be used indicated into the contract?
Answer:
See Section H.13 Materials and Equipment
16) Question Are there any specific brand for the material to be used suggested by the Government?
Answer:
No, there are not.
17) Question Is a Contractor or a Government responsibility to take care of any expenses related to waste disposal and driving city tax (ZTL)?
Answer:
It is Contractor responsibility. See also Section C.2.1.1
18) Question 2 Hour drive as per Section L.4.3 – 1) means required to respond to call in 2 hours?
Answer No, it means the Contractor shall be able to reach the Embassy in no more than 2 hours.
