RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS – 191NLE26Q0131

Ques - We have a source for ammo in Colombia that meets the specs, could it be delivered directly to the location in Colombia? Or does it need to be sourced in the US? If sourced in Colombia, will it need to be forwarded to the Miami freight forwarder anyways?

Ans: Ammunition shall be manufactured to/comply with US Military specifications DODICs and manufacturer will supply certification of testing to support quality assurance plan and applicable ISO 9001:2008 certification. If ammunition located in Colombia meets US MIL specs and DODIC with testing certification then yes.

Ques - Do you require that the company placing the bid carries the ITAR certs or will it suffice if the subcontractor, manufacturer or shipper of the ammunition carries it?

Ans - Prime vendor should require DDTC certificates and process all required approvals via DDTCs.

Ques - Is Buy American in Effect?

Ans - Requirement is for US mil spec ammunition.
