About this file

This file is a comprehensive project manual for an interior renovation project by the Metropolitan Library Commission of Oklahoma City, located at the Village Library at 10307 N. Pennsylvania Avenue in The Village, Oklahoma 73120. The project involves a complete interior renovation, with sealed bids to be received by the library system until 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on December 10, 2018. The bid package includes a full set of construction documents prepared by LWPB Architecture, with a project manual dated November 19, 2018. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for November 26 at 3:00 p.m. in Meeting Room B at the Village Library, and digital copies of plans and specifications will be available for download starting November 19, 2018. The project is anticipated to be awarded on December 13, 2018, with construction to commence on January 21, 2019, and all work to be completed by March 1, 2019.

The project is structured as a single prime contract based on a stipulated price, with a bid bond required for projects exceeding $50,000 (set at 5% of the total bid price). Bidders will be required to submit various documentation including a completed bid proposal, affidavits, and compliance documentation. The library system will evaluate bids based on factors including compliance with specifications, completion schedule, and pricing, with a preference for local vendors in Oklahoma County if all other factors are equal. The renovation will include multiple aspects such as demolition, new flooring, ceiling replacements, electrical work, and potentially an alternate bid for replacing ceiling tiles and light fixtures in specific areas. Funding appears to be through the Metropolitan Library System, with the project aimed at modernizing and updating the Village Library's interior spaces.
