About this file
This document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Tollway for the purchase of various Commscope brand coaxial cables, or approved equals. The Tollway is seeking a vendor to provide the specified cables, hangers, grips, grounding kits, and cable preparation tools. The RFQ outlines the required quantities, delivery timeframes, and contract terms. Quotes must be submitted by 5/20/2019 and the anticipated contract term is a one-time purchase with a 3-month duration.
The RFQ provides detailed item descriptions, part numbers, and specifications. Vendors may propose substitutes, but they must establish that the alternates are equal or better in quality, performance, design, and suitability. The Tollway will evaluate any proposed substitutions. Pricing must remain firm for 180 days, and the contract will be awarded to the responsive/responsible bidder with the lowest price. There are no renewal options for this contract. The Tollway will only pay for acceptable deliveries and will not be subject to any restocking charges due to vendor error.
