About this file
This document is Attachment 8 to Request for Proposal No. 171-180000002112 issued by the State of Michigan for Power, Environmental Monitoring, and HVAC services at State Hosting Centers and Switch Rooms. It provides comprehensive maintenance checklists for current equipment solutions across two primary modules: Module 1 (Power and Monitoring) and Module 2 (HVAC). The checklists detail preventive maintenance procedures for 18 categories of equipment, including UPS systems (Vertiv, non-Vertiv, Nfinity, and APS models), battery monitoring systems, automatic transfer switches, stationary and sealed battery systems, DC power distribution services, flywheels, static transfer switches, water detection systems, precision cooling systems (Xtreme Density and floor/ceiling/wall-mount units), and dual cool AC systems. Maintenance services are specified at semi-annual and annual intervals, with particular emphasis on temperature checks, visual inspections, electrical measurements, connection verification, component calibration, and operational testing. Each checklist outlines specific performance metrics, documentation requirements, and corrective actions to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
The checklists establish standardized service requirements that bidders must follow to maintain equipment in the state hosting centers. Services include detailed procedures for rectifiers, inverters, converters, power distribution systems, and environmental monitoring equipment, with particular attention to safety protocols such as de-energization and lockout procedures for transfer switches. Maintenance activities encompass mechanical inspections, electrical testing with recorded readings, thermal imaging, filter replacement, refrigerant level checks, glycol solution verification, and system performance documentation. The attachment does not specify pricing, contract term, renewal options, or funding information, as it functions solely as a technical specification document establishing the scope and depth of maintenance services required from the awarded contractor.
