The CO will make a final determination on repair/replacement via Modification to the base contract. Mechanical inspections will comply with the requirements set out in Section V / A / 1 herein, and comprise the following performance verifications:

1. Thermostat calibration

2. Refrigerant piping for leaks and refrigerant pressure

3. Components such as blower (including motor for amperage and voltage draw), compressor

(amperage and voltage draw), evaporator and condenser (condition) coils

4. Temperature difference between supply air and return air

5. Testing of system starting capabilities

6. Condition of condensate drains

7. Performance of the thermal expansion valve (TXV)

8. Refrigerant line-set insulation condition

The mechanical inspection report will based on the above guideline, and will include a comparative analysis of repair vs. replacement costs for each unit inspected.
