About this file

This is a Certificate of Analysis from AMA Analytical Services, Inc., documenting asbestos testing results for bulk samples submitted by the United States Department of Labor. The analysis was conducted on samples collected from the Francis Perkins Building located at 200 Constitution Avenue NW, Room S1519a, Washington, DC 20210, with the point of contact being Deaprina McBride.

Two non-friable organically bound (NOB) bulk samples were analyzed, both identified as client sample N16493. Sample 680039-1 yielded a total asbestos content of 48% chrysotile by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), with 24.6% organics and 15.1% acid soluble materials; the sample was gray in color and classified as fiber type (FT). Sample 680039-1A yielded 3.7% total asbestos chrysotile, with 84.5% organics and 4.9% acid soluble materials; this sample was multi-colored and classified as mineral source (MS). The analysis was performed using NY ELAP Methods 198.4 (TEM) and 198.6 (PLM). The samples were submitted on 05-08-2026, analyzed on 05-13-2026, and dated 05-07-2026 for sampling. The technical director, Andreas Saldivar, signed and approved the report. The analysis is limited to the specific samples tested and is not indicative of identical or similar products.
