About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement of Miniature Uninterruptible Power Supply (mUPS) kits for deployment at critical National Airspace System (NAS) facilities under the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA's AJM-5 Telecommunications Integrated Services (TIS) and Federal Aviation Administration Logistics Center (FAALC) seek to optimize power delivery systems to ensure uninterrupted power during outages and electrical disturbances.
The contractor must provide mUPS kits meeting multiple technical specifications: Single-Phase Capacitor-based ~800VA Offline units with NEMA 5-15 plug input and external power strip output with at least four 5-15 outlets and no switch; Single-Phase Capacitor-based 1kVA Online Dual conversion units; Single-Phase Capacitor-based 3kVA Online units; 3-Phase 208V Capacitor-based 3kVA Online units; and Single-phase 1kVA Online units capable of providing power for greater than four hours. All units must withstand dusty conditions and temperatures exceeding 110 degrees, include mounting hardware, and provide a minimum runtime of fifteen seconds at 192 Watts. The currently FAA-approved kit is the Marathon Power UP-SDRU-0500-H1-KIT (DIN-Rail Mount UPS, 850VA/500W, 120V, Super Cap - Kit) with a required quantity of 600 units. Any equivalent substitutions must receive FAA Program Office approval and match the salient features and characteristics of the approved kit. Delivery shall be to Operating Stock at 6500 S MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73169 or alternate address specified on delivery orders, with packaging and marking following guidelines in AJW-LWI-CF0077 (Provision 61). Contractor submittals must include installation instructions and standard manufacturer warranty documentation.

STATEMENT OF WORK
Miniature Uninterruptible Power Supply (mUPS) Kit Procurement
PURPOSE:
In the National Airspace System (NAS), Miniature Uninterruptible Power Supplies (mUPS) play a crucial role in delivering emergency power to electronics and equipment during power outages or other electrical disturbances. These Mini-UPS units are specifically designed to provide short-term backup for sensitive loads, whether to ride through voltage sags and brief power interruptions or to seamlessly bridge the startup of a generator. To ensure safe and reliable operations within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), AJM-5 Telecommunications Integrated Services (TIS) along with Federal Aviation Administration Logistics Center (FAALC) has initiated a comprehensive optimization project to deploy mUPS systems and associated supplies at critical National Airspace System (NAS) facilities, ensuring uninterrupted power to vital equipment.
SCOPE OF WORK:
• Provide mUPS’s kits that meet the following requirements:
o Single-Phase, Capacitor-based, ~800VA, Offline, must include NEMA 5-15 plug (input) and external power strip on output with at least 4x5-15 and no switch plus mounting hardware.
o Must have the ability to withstand dusty conditions and temperatures over 110 degrees.
o Single-Phase, Capacitor-based, 1kVA, Online, Dual conversion, must include mounting hardware.
o Single-Phase, Capacitor-based, 3kVA, Online, must include mounting hardware.
o 3-Phase 208V, Capacitor-based, 3kVA, Online, must include mounting hardware.
o Single-phase, 1kVA, Online, capable of providing power for greater than 4 hours. May achieve this by installing additional battery modules o Units must have a minimum runtime of fifteen (15) seconds at 192 Watts.
• FAA approved kit:
Table 1 below lists the only kit that is currently approved by the FAA. Any equivalent submittal items must fit the salient features and characteristics of the approved kit below, as well as meet the mUPS requirements listed above.
Table 1 NOTE: Any substitution must be approved by the FAA Program Office.
LOCATION:
• Delivery address: Operating Stock, 6500 S MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73169 or specified address on Delivery Order.
• Packaging and marking: The contractor must follow shipping and packaging guidelines explained in AJW-LWI-CF0077 (Provision 61).
