RE: Request for Information

A Request for Information, RFI, is a pre-solicitation federal instrument the government uses to gather information from industry before writing an actual solicitation. This RFI with be used as a market research tool to shape the upcoming acquisition. The purpose is to inform the government's acquisition strategy, refine requirements, identify potential sources, and shape the eventual solicitation.

RFIs are governed by FAR 15.201 (Exchanges with Industry Before Receipt of Proposals). This is not solicitations, no award results from an RFI response, and no contractual relationship is formed.

The response to this RFI will provide information on capabilities, technologies, pricing ranges, delivery timelines, or other factors relevant to the acquisition. Response is voluntary but influences requirement shaping and source pool identification.
