- The government will be responsible for modifying the existing maintenance rack if it does not fit the new chiller.
- The government will handle the Siemens control system integration and will provide the programming requirements to the contractor.
- The requested chiller specifications include BACnet IP, evaporator heater, GFI, hot gas bypass, high efficiency fans, and other options.
- The required chiller performance details such as cooling capacity, flow rates, temperatures, and pressure drop are provided.
- Photos from the site visit will be uploaded to SAM.gov.

Is the chiller used seasonally and turned off in the winter or is it used year round?
8/14/2024 8/15/2024 Chiller is enabled when Outside air temp is greater than 55F. We can/have ran it in the winter if necessary via operators bypassing the outside air enable.
If the maintenance rack does not fit the new chiller, should it be modified for the new chiller or turned over to the owner?
8/14/2024 8/15/2024 If it does not fit it shall be the responsibility of the government for modification and install. If it does fit it shall be the responsibility of the contractor.
Should we include the cost of the Siemen’s integration to the control system? The Government could use its service/maintenance contract for the integration and provide to the Contractors the programming requirements to ensure the unit is ready for integration.
8/14/2024 8/15/2024 No, since multiple vendors brought this up at the site visit the decision has been made that the government will be responsible for control changes.
If Siemen’s integration remains under this SOW, who is a contact at Siemens to secure requirements and pricing? A contact which has previously supported work at this project location and been approved for access
8/14/2024 8/15/2024 N/A, the Siemens control work is no longer covered under the scope of this project.
Can you provide a list of all requested options for the new chiller? 8/14/2024 8/15/2024 -BACnet IP -Evaporator Heater (Freeze Protection) -4-amp GFI (Ground Fault Interrupt) -Hot Gas Bypass -65 kA SCCR -Suction Line Insulation -Suction Service Valve -Standard Scroll Compressor -Micro Channel Condenser Coil -High-Efficiency Variable Condenser Fans -Non-Fused Disconnect -Shell-and-Tube Direct Expansion (DX) -Single Point Power -Coil Trim Panels -Coil Face Shipping Protection (CFSP) -Low Sound - Includes Aero-Acoustic Fans -No hydronic Package
