Questions & Answers for Modification 2 Extension

September 25, 2019

1. It appears that the new, corrected form you sent out states that the approved licenses went from a Licensed Professional Counselor to a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and from a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor to either a Certified Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counselor or a Licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor, is that correct?

ANSWER: The correct credentials/professional licenses that are issued by the State of Utah are now listed with the solicitation.

2. We have one therapist who is an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC), which means she is working under the supervision of myself and our clinical consultant while she works the supervised hours needed to get licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. An ACMHC can do everything a LCMHC can do, the only difference being the requirement for supervision. I noted that the CONTINUATION OF SF-1449, BLOCK 20 also states that any other licenses will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Do you know if an ACMHC will be considered or would this automatically disqualify us?

ANSWER: The amendment includes a list of acceptable professional licenses. Proposed staff who do not have an acceptable license do not meet the solicitation requirements. This will not affect the entire technical quotation but only the individual staff member.
