About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a federal contract opportunity for a dog obedience program at the United States Penitentiary Marion. The opportunity is the first of its kind at the facility and seeks to establish a curriculum for dog obedience training classes to be conducted for approximately 15 inmates per session over two classes ending in March. There is no incumbent and no contract value listed, but it is a small business set-aside under NAICS code 812910. Selection criteria include price, past performance, and certification requirements in the statement of work. The ideal outcome is to provide basic obedience training for shelter dogs to improve adoption rates and train inmates to become dog obedience instructors.
