Questions and Answer for Dog Obedience Program Amendment One

1. Question in regards to the "rough estimate" of 424 sessions. The SOW suggests 5 sessions per week, or less, and there are 52 weeks in a year so 5x52 = 260 so we are trying to understand what a session is? Can you explain?

In the updated SOW and the original solicitation which was based off of 6 months and the estimated amount of sessions, we came up with 212. We would like to graduate at least 4 groups of dogs within a year, so we understand more sessions will be needed at the beginning of each transition of dogs and might taper down to less. A session is defined as the following in the SOW: The program plans to schedule one (1) session per day, four (4) to five (5) days a week and taper to two (2) to three (3) days per week between the hours of 8:00 A.M. -11:00 A.M. or 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, excluding all federal holidays.

2. What is the estimated number of students you are looking to certify in a year?

In the first round of training we will have 4 dogs participating in the program along with 4 inmates. That number could increase as the program progresses.
