About this file
This document is a Delivery Schedule for a federal food service contract with the Bureau of Prisons (BOP). The delivery period spans from January 6, 2026, through March 31, 2026, with scheduled deliveries on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7:30 am and 2:00 pm, contactable at (919) 575-5000. Critical requirements include palletized deliveries, strict temperature controls (34-40°F for non-frozen perishables, 0°F or below for frozen foods), and full compliance with BOP National Menu Specifications.
The document emphasizes rigorous quality control, with all items subject to close inspection, potential thawing and cooking tests, and a three-day conditional receipt period. Vendors face significant consequences for non-compliance, including refusal of improperly marked or temperature-compromised items, mandatory pickup of unacceptable products at the vendor's expense, and potential removal from future solicitation bids. Failure to meet delivery schedules or contract specifications can negatively impact the contractor's past performance record and future government contract opportunities.
